On March 8th 1872, takes place the battle of San Carlos in the vicinity of this lands. This battle is remembered as one of the toughest ever fought in the conquest of the desert, Calfucurá (Blue Stone)

The Indian Mapuche was the last lord of the pampas that negotiated with governors and fought against the criollo’s army. At last, he was defeated by the troops of President Domingo Faustino Sarmiento in the battle of San Carlos, currently, the lands are part of to Bolivar’s district.
